Celebrating Muslim Voices
Diversity and representation in children’s literature are crucial in promoting empathy and understanding of different cultures, especially for children growing up in a multicultural society. Whether you’re from a Muslim family looking for more representation in children’s literature or a parent or teacher of non-Muslim children and are looking to add more inclusive children’s books that celebrate Muslim culture, there are stories waiting to meet you. Muslim authors have been making significant strides in promoting inclusivity and representation by writing children’s books that showcase diverse characters and storylines.
We’ve put together a list of some of our favorites that are written from the voices of Muslim authors that are perfect during Ramadan, Eid, or just any old Thursday.
