Blooming with Books: A May Reading Challenge for Kids
Hey, children’s book lovers!
With May comes the full beauty of Spring and the anticipation for all that summer may hold. We’re excited to introduce our May Reading Challenge for Kids – Blooming With Books! This month’s challenge includes 10 mini-goals that are sure to get your little ones excited about reading. From Mental Health Awareness Month to Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, spring, and Mother’s Day, we’ve got a little something for everyone!
We’ve got 10 mini-goals to keep you and your reader motivated and engaged throughout the month. Each goal has a unique theme, and we’re confident you’ll find something you’ll love in our selection.
Now, we know what you’re thinking – “How do we make reading fun?” We’ve got you covered! Our mini goals include some super fun and interactive ways to read that are sure to keep your kids engaged.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the goals we have in store for you:
Mental Health Awareness Month: Read a book about mindfulness and practice a mindfulness exercise for 5 minutes a day. (Mindful reading? We’re here for it!)
Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month: Read a book with an Asian American or Pacific Islander lead character. (Bonus points if you try out some new foods!)
Springtime fun: Read a book that has flowers or a garden on the cover. (Nothing says “spring” quite like some colorful flowers!)
Mother’s Day: Read a book that features a mother-child relationship and create a handmade Mother’s Day card. (Pro tip: add in some extra glitter for some added pizzazz!)
We hope our May Reading Challenge for Kids, Blooming With Books, helps your little ones discover the joys of reading in a fun and interactive way.
P.S. Don’t forget to share your favorite books with us in the comments below. We love hearing about what you’re reading and what you love about it!
